A diller, a dollar
A ten o’clock scholar
What makes you come so soon?
You used to come at ten o’clock but now you come at noon.

Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye;
Four-and-twenty blackbirds
Baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened
The birds began to sing;
Was not that a dainty dish
To set before the king?
The king was in his counting-house,
Counting out his money;
The queen was in the parlour,
Eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden
Hanging out the clothes;
Down came a blackbird,
And pecked off her nose.
The man in the wilderness asked of me,
How many strawberries grew in the sea.
I answered him’
As I thought good,
As many as red herrings
Grew in the wood.
A wise owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he herd.
Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?
Pease pudding hot, pease pudding cold,
Pease pudding in the pot, nine days old.
Some like it hot, some like it cold,
Some like it in the pot, nine days old.
